Supporting Senior Manager and business units to embed the Bank’s ORRC framework
Supporting processes like Risk Control Self-Assessment, Scenario analysis, risk event reporting and engaging in 1LOD Risk and Control forums in an advisory and review capacity
Identifying the need for independent targeted risk reviews and managing such reviews with engagement of all key stakeholders
Providing constructive review and challenge to ensure key risks have been appropriately identified, assessed, managed, and escalated
Ensuring there are robust action plans in place to manage critical and high moderate risks
Acting as the primary interface between ORRC and the business, and supporting business units on strategic change with Operational Risk Assessments
Experience being involved and oversight change projects, operational risk management and/or in one or more of the Central Functions like Risk/CCB/RBB
Experience, of the Financial Services industry, preferably in banking activities, and of the associated UK regulatory environment
Good influencing and negotiating skills at management level – achieving consensus solutions while delivering challenging goals
Knowledge in Operational Risk framework - ideally worked in 1 LoD
Risk qualification like IoCR/equivalent
Experience using MS Office – PowerPoint, Word, Excel
Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus
We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don’t contribute yourself. We’ll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer.
30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5yrs service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year

Join our community.
You will join the Operational Risk & Resilience team (ORRC) and be involved in supporting the development of the function’s Operational Risk oversight strategy and related operational risk toolset and reporting.
You’ll act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on operational risk matters and partner with assigned business areas to share information, knowledge, and escalations, and provide constructive advice and challenge.
