The Operations Financial Analyst oversees the systems, processes, and controls that underpin all program financials at 9th Way. This role ensures accurate, timely invoicing (including government invoicing via Tungsten), maintains our Unanet time-and-expense platform, and drives consistency and integrity in financial data and reporting across projects. Working closely with the Project Finance and Staff Accounting teams, the Operations Financial Analyst consolidates program financials and enables leadership to make data-driven decisions.
      Key Responsibilities
      • Invoicing & Revenue Management:
        • Lead all customer billing processes, including government invoicing through Tungsten high-volume portals.
        • Coordinate with Project Analyst and Staff Accountant to ensure invoices are accurate, approved, and delivered on schedule.
      • Unanet System Administration:
        • Serve as the primary Unanet administrator: configure new projects, update billing rates, manage user access, and troubleshoot system issues.
        • Train and support end users on timekeeping, expense entry, and project setup.
      • Timekeeping Oversight:
        • Enforce time-entry policies and audit timesheets to ensure 100% compliance.
        • Partner with HR and project managers to resolve timekeeping exceptions.
      • Financial Data Management & Controls:
        • Maintain master data files and chart of accounts integrity.
        • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures to safeguard data quality and support audit readiness.
      • Consolidation of Program Financials:
        • Aggregate financial results across all programs for monthly and quarterly reporting.
        • Produce consolidated dashboards and package presentations for executive review.
      • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
        • Work with operations and development to cover end-to-end finance operations.
        • Liaise with IT, HR, and operations to align systems, policies, and processes.
      • Process Improvement:
        • Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in billing, timekeeping, and reporting workflows.
        • Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline finance operations.
      Qualifications
      • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Experience in lieu of education will be considered.
      • 5+ years of experience in finance operations, systems administration, or project accounting-ideally in GovCon.
      • Deep expertise with Unanet or similar ERP/time-expense platforms.
      • Hands-on experience with government invoicing portals (e.g., Tungsten).
      • Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups).
      • Excellent project management and communication abilities.
      • Proven track record of building and documenting finance processes and controls.
      Preferred Qualifications
      • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
      • Lean Six Sigma or process-improvement certification.
