What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee operational functions and manage policies and procedures within the organization and third-party entities
- Establish and maintain supervision activities across critical business areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain operational resilience frameworks to ensure continuity during disruptions
- Coordinate responses to operational incidents and communicate effectively with stakeholders and regulators
- Manage cross-functional projects related to operations and risk, collaborating with various departments
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5+ years of experience in Canadian financial services, management, strategy consulting, or operations strategy
- Experience with a CIRO regulated investment dealer, focusing on trade supervision in crypto, equities, or derivatives
- High attention to detail with the ability to produce content suitable for external sharing
- Proven ability to develop and improve processes for operational efficiencies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with senior management
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Completion of Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) courses, including Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Investment Dealer Supervisors Course (IDSC)
- Deep subject matter expertise and experience in cryptocurrency
