      Location

      The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to work on site at the Ellie Caulks Opera House or onsite at our other venues at least 3 days a week . Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

      What You’ll Do

      Denver Arts and Venues is seeking an Operations Manager to support, develop, and implement agencywide organizational processes and procedures, and coordinate regulatory safety standards across our world-renown, high profile venues including: Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Colorado Convention Center, Denver Performing Arts Complex, Denver Coliseum, and Loretto Heights Theater . This role will help maintain or create efficiencies across the agency and strive for operational excellence. This position will report to the Deputy Director of Strategic Operations.

      Job duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

      Coordinating regulatory safety and standards across venues

      • Coordinate safety and security protocols and trainings agency-wide; in coordination with venue directors and venue-specific safety and security teams

      • Ensure each venue is following local, state, federal regulations and protocols related to safety and security, including active shooter and weather-related incidences across our multiple locations.

      Oversee DAV Continuity Planning

      • Develops and implements DAV’s Continuity of Operations Plan, working with the Office of Emergency Management (OEM)

      • Acts as DAV’s as Agency Continuity Coordinator for OEM

      • Coordinates continuity of operations Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across agency / venues

      • Participate in mandatory citywide continuity workgroup and other related meetings (internal and external)

      Serves as DAV designee at the City’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC)

      • P articipate s in required ongoing emergency operations training exercises

      • Report s to EOC as called upon during emergency situations

      Serve as agency ADA Liaison

      • Ensure DAV is in compliance with ADA requirements both at our venues and in accordance with HB-21-1110 Digital accessibility, in coordination with the venue directors, capital improvement team, and marketing.

      • Serve as designed POC/liaison to HRCP’s citywide ADA coordinator and attend meetings, develop reports as required .

      Developing and/or coordinat es agency protocols and standard operation procedures (SOPs)

      • Identify gaps in agency protocols/SOPs

      • Work with divisions on developing / tracking SOPs

      • Ensure centralized location for SOPs

      Oversee agencywide internal processes related to hiring, onboarding, offboarding .

      • Manage Business Operations Administrator who performs these duties.

      Personnel Management: This position will have two direct reports including a Business Operations Administrator and Executive Assistant, who supports the Executive Director and Deputy Director.

      Other duties as assigned.

      Required Minimum Qualifications

      Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in a related field based on a specific position(s).

      Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of experience at the type and level of functional or operational management, which must have included management of professional individual contributors.

      Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.

      Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.

      License/Certifications: R equires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.

      By position, requires certification or licensure related to area of work at the time of application or by the Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
