- Territory and Customer Management: Establish and manage sales objectives, goals, and forecasts for the designated territory.
- Field Visits and Travel: Conduct regular field visits throughout the assigned region to engage with customers, understand their needs, and drive sales.
- Technical Assistance and Product Education: Collaborate with customer technical teams to specify and apply industrial equipment, while offering ongoing product education and technical support.
- Customer Relationship Building: Maintain and enhance relationships with existing customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty while also identifying new business opportunities.
- Dispute Resolution: Act as a point of contact for resolving customer disputes, working closely with office staff and factory personnel to address and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Sales Performance and Reporting: Regularly report on sales activity, market trends, customer feedback, and progress toward meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 - 5 years of successful experience in an engineering or technical role within an industrial setting, preferably in valves, flow control products, or related industries. Alternatively, equivalent sales experience is acceptable.
- Education: A BS degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred. However, a high school diploma combined with relevant experience will also be considered.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to listen actively, clarify customer needs, and provide clear explanations.
- Customer Service and Relationship Management: Strong customer service skills with demonstrated ability to build, manage, and nurture long-term customer relationships.
- Self-Motivated: Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, set personal goals, and take the initiative to achieve results.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and explain the application of industrial equipment in customer processes, identifying and addressing customer needs.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive in identifying solutions and resolving customer challenges effectively and efficiently.
- Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel extensively within the designated territory to meet with customers and support sales efforts.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license required; personal vehicle available for sales and service calls.
- Background Check: Credit check required as part of the background screening process.
- Compliance: Must adhere to Bray's Drivers Policy, including maintaining adequate auto liability insurance and following company safety practices.
- Frequent travel required (within the designated territory).
- Must have access to reliable transportation and be able to manage travel arrangements.
