What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide crisis intervention services, including responding to crisis calls and conducting shelter intakes
- Maintain vigilant supervision and care for children, assisting with hygiene, diet, and appointments
- Complete necessary documentation and data management tasks
- Participate in professional development by completing required training and attending meetings
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control policies while keeping the shelter orderly
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school education required
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Proficiency in using personal computers and relevant software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- References that demonstrate interest in working with individuals in crisis
- Experience in a role providing care or support in a social services environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
