      Summary:

      Responsible for the day-to-day operation within the Bowling Center. Oversee overall department and/or shift(s) as assigned. Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations.

      Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

      • Hire, train, develop, measure performance, discipline, and schedule department staff
      • Lead the tactical execution of strategic initiatives under the direction of division leadership
      • Establish standards of service within assigned department(s) and ensure achievement
      • Promote and obtain increased lineage and income. Create ideas to increase customer traffic and promote customer utilization of other facilities on the property
      • Create a network of influential contacts within the bowling industry in order to obtain major national tournaments and group bowling
      • Ensure proper maintenance of the building and furnishings. Oversee mechanics to ensure efficient operation of bowling equipment
      • Exchange ideas with other department managers to coordinate marketing efforts
      • Initiate programs and ideas to improve the level of service
      • Make decisions relating to operations within your authority and responsibility
      • Follow through on personnel administrative responsibilities, team member feedback
      • Prepare and revise Job Descriptions for all subordinate positions, as required
      • Form positive employer/team member relationships
      • Delegate responsibility and authority effectively
      • Read and evaluate job-related literature in books, magazines, pamphlets, etc., in order to increase job knowledge
      • Control labor and supply costs. Make recommendations to increase Lanes’ revenues and decrease expenses
      • Keep informed of innovations made by competitors and report same to the General Manager
      • Submit recommendations on large expenditures in the department
      • Prepare schedules, reports, forecasts, and budgets as directed and required
      • Thorough knowledge of Bowling Center Operations, including Fiscal Budgeting
      • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations if they apply to the position
      • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meet the company’s guest service culture standards
      • Perform other duties as assigned

      Qualifications

      • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Bowling Center Management.
      • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, maintenance instructions, and other documents.
      • Thorough knowledge of Bowling Center Operations, including Fiscal Budgeting
      • Pleasant personality, team-oriented and enjoys working with and serving people
      • Proven experience providing a high level of guest service
      • Ability to accurately perform basic math skills
      • Must be at least 21 years of age.
      • High School Diploma or equivalent
      • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
      • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
      • Verify right to work in the United States.

      • Regularly reaching 12-24 inches across the counter
      • Eye/Hand Coordination and Manual Dexterity
