What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct legal, medical, and technical research on assigned multi-issue tort claims
- Analyze legal documents to identify issues and prepare research reports
- Recommend strategic options to Assistant Attorneys General during investigations
- Design and implement methods for gathering client records for legal support
- Compile and present case data to division and leadership stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Combination of four years of experience through paralegal certification or a two-year paralegal degree, or related paraprofessional experience
- One year of experience as a Paralegal 1 in Washington State Service
- Experience preparing legal pleadings and correspondence
- Ability to manage case documents and track discovery documents
- Familiarity with civil litigation preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in civil litigation
- Knowledge of court rules and statute interpretation
- Proficiency in using legal research tools, such as Westlaw
