What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist attorneys and senior paralegals with estate planning matters, including administering estates and preparing documents
- Prepare and assist with Gift Tax Returns, Estate Tax Returns, and Fiduciary Income Tax Returns
- Maintain financial records of trusts, perform trust accounting, and audit accounts
- Manage client case files and maintain close personal contact with clients and financial advisors
- Meet an annual billable hour requirement of 1500 hours while ensuring attention to detail and quality of work
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Trusts & Estates preferred
- Two-year degree required; Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, continually changing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with tax and trust accounting software
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in Corporate and Real Estate law
- Significant client case management experience
- Familiarity with document database programs and/or software
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize workflow effectively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
