What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Teach courses within the Education Specialist program as assigned
- Provide timely evaluation and constructive feedback on students' teaching performance
- Complete required tasks on deadlines, including final grades and assessment
- Maintain professional training and scholarly activities as applicable
- Collaborate with student services to identify and support at-risk students
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's degree or higher in special education or a related field
- Valid and clear California education specialist or special education teaching credential
- Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching students with disabilities in California public schools
- Proficiency in internet tools such as Zoom
- Current knowledge of special education, diversity, and instructional design
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience teaching at the college level or in field settings
- Familiarity with teaching adult learners
- Experience across academic settings for students with a range of disabilities
- Background in co-teaching and explicit instructional methods
- Experience in diverse educational environments
