What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Plant and maintain research plantings of American chestnut
- Assist with harvest, shucking, and inventory of seed stocks
- Conduct research projects under direct supervision
- Perform data collection, entry, and analysis related to research
- Split work time approximately 50/50 between indoor and outdoor environments
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check
- Ability to perform duties both indoors and outdoors
- Experience or coursework related to plant cultivation or research
- Strong attention to detail for data collection and analysis
- Willingness to undergo background checks as per university policies
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in agricultural research or plant maintenance
- Familiarity with data analysis software or research methodologies
