- Processing of U.S. Department of State (DOS) passport acceptance applications in alignment with DOS, UNM, and department regulations
- Daily closeout of all passport applications, coordination of shipping/mailing applications, and conducting financial reconciliations
- Facilitate interdepartmental communication and document routing as it relates to the Passport Acceptance Center (PAC) operations
- If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
- All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the US-UNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Have a valid New Mexico Driver's License at the time of hire; take and pass UNM's online Defensive Driving Course within 30 days of hire.
- Two years' experience driving in the U.S.
- Previous customer service experience
- Cash-handling experience and ability to complete accurate, timely routine reports
- Previous experience supervising student and/or lower-level employees
- Ability to ensure proper operations coverage
- Public speaking and presentation skill
- Multi-tasking and scheduling skills
- Prior experience with international travel
- Available to work non-standard work hours with a DEMONSTRATED record of reliability

Requisition ID req26774 Working Title Passport Acceptance Agent Position Grade 07 Position Summary The University of New Mexico Global Education Office is pleased to announce the opening of a term position for a part-time U.S. Passport Acceptance Agent. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter who enjoys interacting with customers and handling administrative duties. Candidates must be U.S. citizens as required by the U.S. Department of State.
Candidates must be available to work an average of 20 hours/week, Tuesday through Saturday. Periodically, some non-standard evenings hours (generally no later than 7p.m.) and extended weekend hours will be required. This part-time position will be asked to adjust standard weekly schedule or work additional hours to cover vacations, call outs, and assist with cyclical outreach events.

Conditions of Employment Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
