What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Greet patients and manage incoming telephone calls
- Schedule appointment requests and accommodate special needs
- Communicate insurance participation, financial responsibilities, and time of service policies to patients
- Obtain and register patients' insurance and demographic information in the system
- Perform real-time insurance verification and assist with Epic referral scheduling
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including proficiency in medical terminology
- Prior high-volume customer service experience in a call center environment
- Bachelor's Degree or college-level coursework preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare-related customer service role
- Familiarity with EPIC or similar healthcare management systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively
- Experience with insurance verification processes
