What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee patient accounts and ensure accuracy of accounts receivable (AR)
- Contact patients to collect outstanding payments and resolve billing inquiries
- Document actions taken to reconcile outstanding balances effectively
- Communicate with patients and insurance companies regarding billing issues
- Help patients establish reasonable payment plans to support their financial health
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proven experience in medical billing and collections
- Familiarity with billing software and electronic health records
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional customer service abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare coding systems
- Experience utilizing Practice Management (PM) systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality
