What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Accurately process claims, payments, rejections, refunds, credit balances, and unapplied cash on a daily basis
- Confirm electronic and hard-copy billing of delinquent claims and perform follow-ups
- Respond to patient and payer inquiries, denials, and correspondence
- Provide updates on insurance information and claim denials to relevant departments
- Maintain Contract Management reporting and resolve patient/insurance credit/debit balances
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of six months of customer service experience
- Data entry skills are required
- Familiarity with billing and collections in a healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to adhere to all policies and procedures related to federal, state, and department compliance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in billing and collections or Medical Office/Healthcare experience
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and payers
- Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and priorities
- Attention to detail in processing financial transactions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
