      The Position

      Job Purpose:

      The Patient Journey Partner / Enabler (PJP/E) is at the center of the new Roche Iraq organization, turning upside down the role we play in society - from mostly offering world-class medicines towards much more partnering, innovating and leading generative disruption. By doing so the PJP/E will be directly accountable to deliver better outcomes for patients, their community, the ecosystem and the organization, faster.

      This role is locally embedded in the ecosystem, it is an integrated role, functionally agnostic and does not fit into the traditional concepts of Commercial/Sales or Medical Affairs. An Agnostic, Primary Point of Contact that will approach holistically our customers, identify problems and co-create solutions while establishing the value of our assets. Ensuring quality and a truly differentiated customer experience and, most importantly, patient safety. The PJP/E is an empowered leader and the local face of Roche. She or he partners closely with all stakeholders directly touching the patient journey (in a given therapeutic or disease area), gaining a deep understanding of their needs in order to connect Roche’s capabilities to co-create meaningful solutions.

      Responsibilities

      -Develops and owns the strategy of the disease area and drive directly the implementation in collaboration with the external/internal stakeholders and the agent team

      -Responsible for driving the right decisions pertaining to the designated disease area (Vision, resourcing, strategy, tactics, experimentation, etc.), in alignment with the triple win concept

      -Partners with internal Roche stakeholders (Pharma, DIA & DC and others) to implement the relevant solutions for the Patient Journey gaps (including Medical, Access and Commercial Solutions)

      -Focuses on the importance of bringing the outside in, working with partners to uncover all potential opportunities to transform outcomes for patients, faster. They also bring the inside out, to bring Roche expertise, science and knowledge to the ecosystem.

      -Acts as trusted partner and is the primary (but non-exclusive) point of contact between Key stakeholders and Roche; the PJP/E shares the patient and stakeholder community needs internally, prioritizes and secures resources, and drives solutions that deliver outcomes faster.

      -Optimizes E2E experience for care ecosystem through account by uncovering needs and connecting dots of care ecosystem abilities

      -Accountable to the Disease area’s overall success, through enabling the end-to-end value creation including the development & execution of the DA’s vision, strategy and investment.

      -Architects interactions with enabling functions (Finance, supply, regulatory,etc..) to ensure end-to-end value creation.

      -Stewards Roche’s products through their lifecycle and supports their appropriate use, which includes sharing their merits with HCPs in a truthful and balanced manner.

      Competencies

      -Excellent stakeholder engagement skills including partnering with TAE's and organizations is required.

      Expertise

      -BA degree in Pharmacy or equivalent; MBA is a plus.

      -Expertise in the oncology / Hematology disease areas is preferred

      -Expertise in the Iraqi market is preferred

      -Good understanding of healthcare system, processes and governance.

      -Good understanding of the customer facing roles (named PJP/E, or previous customer facing functions including Medical, Access and Commercial) with a strong experience at least in one of them.

      -Deep understanding of patient journey(s) and related treatments in defined disease area(s), enabling engagement at the specialist level.

      -Experience in agile ways of working is desired.

      -Preferred to have 7 years experience or more in the pharma field.

      -Experience leading a Cross-functional team is required. Experience in both formulating cross-functional strategies and orchestrating cross-functional teams is highly desired.
