What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Handle scheduling calls and faxes for all locations in a timely and efficient manner
- Review exam preparation and provide directions to patients regarding insurance and payment policies
- Coordinate with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure efficient operations
- Ensure proper completion of scheduling, patient account, and insurance-related records
- Conduct patient satisfaction calls as instructed and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent required; knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Medical office experience with previous patient scheduling experience preferred
- Knowledge of health insurance requirements related to pre-authorization and eligibility
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and medical staff
- Basic computer skills are required
