What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist patients with direct patient care under the direction of the RN and team members
- Provide grooming, oral hygiene, and comfort measures to patients
- Document all patient care tasks, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately
- Communicate effectively with the RN regarding patient care and any patient requests or complaints
- Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge processes for patients
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma, GED, or formal education equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in the healthcare field
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Successful completion of UAMS Patient Care Technician (PCT) and Patient Services Coordinator (PSC) courses
- Ability to accept and follow written and verbal instructions

- Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting
- Familiarity with patient care standards and protocols
- Previous training in conflict management or de-escalation techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills to assist patients and visitors effectively
