What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist patients with direct care, following directions from the RN and team members
- Document all patient care tasks, vital signs, and activities of daily living (ADL) accurately and promptly
- Obtain patient reports and communicate effectively with the RN regarding patient care
- Support the admission, transfer, and discharge processes for patients
- Serve as a resource for department members while addressing patient and visitor inquiries
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma, GED, or formal education equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in the healthcare field
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to follow instructions
- Successful completion of the UAMS Patient Care Technician (PCT) and Patient Services Coordinator (PSC) courses
- Must complete UAMS-sponsored conflict management training within six months of hire

- Experience in a behavioral health setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology and patient care documentation
- Skills in conflict resolution and crisis management
- Additional certifications related to patient care or behavioral health
