What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Schedule patients while prioritizing patient safety and minimizing medical health errors
- Participate in process improvement projects to enhance service quality
- Audit online tickets and schedule appointments to ensure accuracy of orders and referrals
- Act as a subject expert for the department's scheduling model and troubleshoot errors
- Assist in training new staff and support the team lead in achieving operational goals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Patient Services Specialist 2
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to maintain a patient-first mentality in responding to needs and concerns
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
