What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process incoming referrals for clinic visits, imaging requests, and Cardiac Rehab services
- Schedule patient appointments and verify demographic and financial information
- Handle patient paperwork and triage patient telephone calls to clinical staff
- Provide estimated charges based on the plan of care for self-pay patients
- Obtain necessary medical records and diagnostic studies for patient care
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School graduation or equivalent
- Two years of experience as a Patient Services Specialist 2 or equivalent education/experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of healthcare and insurance processes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in patient services
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare documentation
- Proficiency in scheduling software or electronic health records systems
