      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Process incoming referrals for the Heart Institute, including clinic visits and imaging requests
      - Schedule patient appointments and verify demographic and financial information
      - Triages patient telephone calls to clinical staff and processes patient paperwork
      - Contacts insurance companies to ensure prior approval requirements are met
      - Obtains necessary medical records and diagnostic studies for patient care

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School graduation or equivalent
      - Minimum of two years of experience as a Patient Services Specialist 2 or equivalent education/experience
      - Strong organizational and communication skills
      - Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
      - Familiarity with healthcare insurance processes and patient scheduling

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in patient services or scheduling
      - Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance protocols
      - Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
      - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations
