- Day Shift; 6:30am - 3:00pm
- Ensure smooth daily operations and patient safety by prioritizing tasks and managing workflow.
- Oversee staff scheduling, HR data systems, and deliver high-quality customer service.
- Track inventory, submit repair orders, and support departmental quality improvement efforts.
- Supervise and support staff while modeling professional and courteous communication.
- Develop, implement, and maintain organizational systems and unit procedures.
- Collaborate to uphold safety standards, infection control, and emergency protocols.
- Advocate for patients and families, ensuring privacy, dignity, and cultural sensitivity.
- Foster teamwork across departments and represent the unit in meetings and committees.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, hospital policies, and Epic ADT systems.
- Lead and participate in training, continuing education, and professional development.
- Demonstrate strong coordination, multitasking, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience working with diverse populations.
- Bachelor's degree in a medically related or public relations field
- Four years of experience as a Patient Services Specialist
- An equivalent combination of four years' experience as a Patient Services Specialist, a UW Supervisory Skill Certificate, and education/experience may substitute for stated requirements

The Patient Services Specialist Supervisor (PSS-Supervisor) oversees various supervisory and administrative non-clinical functions within the department. This role is responsible for leading and supervising staff in the Patient Services Specialist class series, as well as other assigned personnel.
