What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process patient changes in insurance
- Ensure payment is guaranteed prior to delivery and revenue is posted appropriately
- Verify correct product and payor for services, equipment, and therapy
- Contact payors to verify insurance coverage and eligibility requirements
- Obtain authorization for medical treatment from appropriate sources
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma
- 1 year of related work experience
- 1 year of medical billing experience
- Familiarity with payor contractual requirements
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in computer skills such as Access, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, and Word
- Basic level mathematical proficiency
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, verbal)
