What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure timely billing for all payers within the region, including secondary billing
- Maintain accurate notes and communication in the patient's ledger/chart
- Collaborate with all parties to maintain denial prevention methods
- Follow up on Accounts Receivable by insurance to collect required information for claim processing or appeals
- Communicate directly with payers via phone, email, or other means necessary
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum of three years' experience in all facets of the healthcare payer environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access
- Excellent oral communication skills and phone presence
- Understanding of quality customer service
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with a variety of EMR systems; Raintree experience is a plus
