      We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join a growing organization in a confidential capacity. This critical leadership role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for approximately 400 employees (and expanding). This position will supervise a team of 1 staff and play a key role in streamlining payroll operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting organizational growth.


      Key Responsibilities:

      • Serve as the primary Payroll Administrator for payroll systems.
      • Manage and process bi-weekly payroll cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
      • Oversee payroll deductions, including health plans, 403(b) retirement program, FSA, garnishments, union dues, voluntary life insurance, and more.
      • Maintain payroll records, prepare reports, and partner with payroll system representatives such as Paycom or similar vendors.
      • Develop and implement process improvements to optimize payroll operations.
      • Lead year-end payroll activities, including accrual calculations and W-2 distribution.
      • Ensure compliance with payroll tax laws, maintain retention policies, and file related documentation.
      • Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with pay practices.
      • Administer FSA enrollments and deductions while managing garnishments and regular reporting.
      • Supervise payroll staff, ensuring their growth, development, and performance.
      • Participate in audits and leadership meetings to align payroll strategies with organizational goals.
      • Handle ad hoc projects and tasks as needed.


      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on payroll processing experience with external vendors like Paycom or ADP.
      • Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and tax protocols.
      • Proven ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy under pressure.
      • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
      • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
