      As a Barclays Payroll Manager Assistant Vice President, you will provide payroll subject matter expertise to ensure we provide a best-in-class service that meets all US-based, Canada-based, colleagues that is compliant, accurate, timely, and resilient. In your role, you will be responsible for performing Payroll Manager activities for the HR Operations payroll function ensuring timely, accurate, and risk adverse delivery and accounting of Salaries, Wages, Overtime, Commissions, Incentive Payments, and any other payroll-related reporting etc.

      Salary / Rate Minimum: 85,000
      Salary / Rate Maximum: 130,000

      What will you be doing?

      • Reviewing payroll transactions prepared handling escalations in a timely manner
      • Setting daily/weekly expectations with the team and preparing and manager checklists for daily/weekly activities & payroll processing
      • Establishing, reviewing, maintaining, and enforce controls in accordance with Global Payroll Controls, Regional Payroll Controls, and Sarbox requirements for Barclays and the payroll
      • Managing semi-monthly intercompany payroll expense and payroll service billing and Co-ordinating test plans/testing of new payroll codes & systems
      • Preparing employee communications as needed and reviewing and authorizing money movements to support the payroll process including payroll funding and tax funding
      • Managing General Ledger posting, file transfers, and posting inquiries and authorize Fed Wires for manual employee payments and tax settlement
      • Preparing tax & deposit funding in accordance with Banking Ops and Remittance deadlines
      • Reviewing calculations of off cycle checks considering FLSA Termination pay out rules by State and Benefits eligibility (prepared by Payroll Analysts)

      What we’re looking for:

      • More than five years of experience working within an HR Operations/Tax Function for a large organization i.e., 5,000+ employees
      • Four years of Bachelor’s degree (minimum) or equivalent US and Canada Payroll Tax management experience
      • Demonstratable understanding of payroll and related general ledger accounting principles, including FLSA/IRS requirements
      • Sound understanding of MS Excel, Powerpoint and/or other payroll tax systems

      Skills that will help you in the role:

      • Ability to operate and maintain payroll information in SAP, Workday and/or vendor systems e.g. ADP Enterprise
      • Track record of delivering colleague-focussed service delivering great customer outcomes

      Where will you be working?

      You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness centre and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
