What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure payroll transactions comply with local, state, and federal laws, including tax regulations and financial reporting requirements
- Conduct internal payroll audits and oversee tax filings and compliance with payroll laws
- Reconcile payroll transactions with financial records and oversee payroll reporting
- Maintain and improve mapping between payroll and financial systems for accurate reporting
- Act as a liaison between Payroll, Finance, and HR to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll accounting, payroll compliance, or financial auditing
- Experience with payroll systems (Paycom preferred) and financial software (SDS or similar)
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and multi-state payroll compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reconciliation tools
