What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Execute end-to-end payroll processing for all US employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Review, validate, and reconcile timekeeping data for hourly and salaried employees, resolving discrepancies proactively
- Administer payroll taxes, benefits deductions, and third-party remittances, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
- Prepare payroll and benefit-related journal entries and perform account reconciliations
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and support audits to ensure accuracy and completeness
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 3+ years of payroll and benefits processing experience in California, preferably in a multi-state environment
- Experience with timekeeping software and payroll systems (Ceridian preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, including XLOOKUP and pivot tables
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in Canadian and Australian payroll
- Experience with payroll system implementation
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
