Job summary
Medics PCN are now advertising for a professional, diligent and dynamic Operational Manager to support mature and innovative PCN.
Medics PCN Ltd, is a strong and stable Primary Care Network based in Luton, where our 5 practices work together at scale. Medics PCN is an established limited company with the network running for in excess of 6 years. Medics are looking for a Operational Manager to support Medics PCN Digital and Transformation Manager and Clinical Director, in the continued success of the PCN.
Medics PCN have a strong team ethos amongst the network team and the Operational Manager will be play a key part in supporting this ethic.
Main duties of the job
Work with and support the PCN Digital and Transformation Manager and PCN Clinical Director to deliver the PCN strategic plans and performance requirements through employee engagement, performance management and development. Additionally, providing operational management to oversee the Medics PCN site and serve as the first point of contact for Practice Managers and stakeholders in regard to PCN operations at the Marsh Farm site.

The Medics Primary Care Network (PCN) serves a population of under 64,570 patients residing across the Luton in Bedfordshire.
Working collaboratively with other partners to strengthen and support the delivery of Primary Care services, the PCN consists of 5 core GP practices Woodland Avenue Practice, Medici Medical Practice, Gardenia & Marsh Farm Practice, Bell House Medical Centre & Barton Hills Medical Group.
Medics PCN have a dedicated network site where many of the MDT, personalised care team and clinicians work collaboratively to deliver a pro-active approach to patient care.

The post holder will work flexibly to support the PCN Clinical Director, PCN Digital and Transformation Manager and the Primary Care Network practices. The Operational Manager plays a critical role in shaping company culture, fostering employee engagement, and ensuring a positive work environment. This position is responsible for managing employee relations, performance management, talent development, and implementing HR policies to enhance workforce productivity and satisfaction. You will provide operational management across the PCN; working closely with the PCN Digital and Transformation Manager, PCN Clinical Director and the PCN Clinical leads to achieve success in line with the PCN Network Contract DES and the PCNs local priorities. The Operational Manager will provide line management to most PCN employed staff to ensure they are supported and co-ordinated within the PCN. This will include managing their Rotas, Holidays and Sick leave. The role will also include assisting HR issues, dealing with staff and Patient complaints. You will strive to develop strong working relationships with the PCN Practices.
