What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide peer support over the phone to individuals seeking assistance
- Build rapport and engage clients, offering available resources and information
- Maintain HIPAA compliance while working from a distraction-free home office
- Remain calm and professional while multi-tasking to support callers
- Participate in ongoing meetings, training, and team-building activities with fellow specialists
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Peer Support Worker, Family Peer, Wraparound, or equivalent certification
- Current experience as a peer and willingness to acquire necessary certifications
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Commitment to personal recovery and ongoing professional development
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in crisis intervention or peer support roles
- Familiarity with the New Mexico Crisis and Access Line (NMCAL) or similar services
- Strong communication skills and ability to connect with diverse populations
- Previous training in HIPAA compliance and confidentiality practices
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
