What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide peer support to callers over the phone, building rapport and engagement
- Offer available resources and information to assist individuals seeking help
- Maintain HIPAA compliance while working from a private office space
- Remain calm and professional while multitasking and supporting callers
- Participate in ongoing meetings, training, and team-building activities with colleagues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Peer Support Worker, Family Peer, Wraparound or equivalent certification
- Current experience as a peer and willingness to acquire certification in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
- Ability to work holidays and weekends as needed
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and supporting others in their recovery journey
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a peer support role or crisis intervention setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to connect with diverse populations
- Familiarity with mental health resources and support services
- Demonstrated commitment to personal recovery and professional growth
