What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Speak with callers over the phone, connecting with individuals in need of support
- Build rapport and engage clients while providing available resources or information needed
- Maintain HIPAA compliance while working from home
- Remain calm and professional while multi-tasking in a supportive role
- Participate in ongoing meetings, training, and team-building activities with fellow specialists
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Peer Support Worker, Family Peer, Wraparound, or equivalent certification
- Current experience as a peer and willingness to acquire necessary certification in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Commitment to personal recovery and ongoing growth
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in crisis intervention or peer support roles
- Familiarity with the New Mexico Crisis and Access Line (NMCAL) and its resources
- Skills in building empowering peer relationships
- Background in mental health services or related fields
- Active participation in ongoing professional development
