What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide peer support over the phone, connecting with individuals in need
- Build rapport and engage clients while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
- Offer resources and information to callers as needed
- Maintain HIPAA compliance in a distraction-free home office
- Participate in ongoing meetings, training, and team-building activities with colleagues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Peer Support Worker, Family Peer, Wraparound, or equivalent certification
- Current experience as a peer and willingness to acquire additional certification as required by law
- Ability to work holidays and weekends, as peer support is needed year-round
- Commitment to personal recovery and professional handling of confidential information
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a peer support role or crisis intervention
- Familiarity with the New Mexico Crisis and Access Line or similar services
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with diverse populations
- Experience in a structured team environment
