What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide peer support over the phone, connecting with individuals in need
- Build rapport and engage clients while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
- Offer resources and information to callers based on their unique situations
- Work in a distraction-free private office space while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Participate in ongoing meetings, training, and team-building activities with fellow specialists
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certification as a Peer Support Worker, Family Peer, Wraparound, or equivalent
- Current experience as a peer and willingness to acquire necessary certification
- Ability to work holidays and weekends as required
- Commitment to personal recovery and handling confidential information professionally
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Accepted certifications such as CFPSW, CPSW, and CWF or equivalent
- Experience in crisis intervention or related fields
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with resources available to individuals seeking support
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
