What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide peer support to callers, building rapport and engagement
- Offer available resources and information needed to callers
- Maintain professionalism while multi-tasking and supporting callers
- Work with the New Mexico Crisis and Access Line (NMCAL) to assist individuals in need
- Participate in ongoing meetings, training, and team-building activities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Peer Support Worker, Family Peer, Wraparound, or equivalent certification
- Current experience as a peer with a willingness to acquire necessary certifications
- Ability to maintain a distraction-free private office space while working from home
- Commitment to continuous personal recovery and professional confidentiality
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in crisis intervention or peer support roles
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and confidentiality practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with diverse populations
