What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and lead company-wide compliance programs, processes, and initiatives
- Monitor changes to all employment regulations and report on HR compliance controls and metrics
- Conduct regulatory horizon scanning to identify changes in regulations affecting the company and its clients
- Assist in providing guidance on HR compliance, employee relations, and employment laws
- Collaborate with HR, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to facilitate compliance with local, state, and federal requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Paralegal
- Experience with federal, state, and local employment laws such as Title VII and the FLSA
- Proven track record of leading and implementing compliance initiatives
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with California laws and regulations
- Project management, compliance, legal, HR, or Business Operations experience
- Ability to present and influence at all organizational levels
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and HRIS systems (Prism a plus)
- Strategic and creative thinking abilities
