- Proactively triage, research, analyze, and provide comprehensive solutions to PeopleSoft issues brought to the PeopleSoft Support Team through the City's helpdesk solution.
- Documenting requirements and ensuring understanding across business, functional, and technical stakeholders with a focus on process improvement and automation opportunities.
- Ensuring that work requested by management for a release is delivered on schedule and raising blocking issues to management in a timely manner.
- Developing options analysis and business requirement documentation to support decisions by governance for both special projects and production issue resolution.
- Building and executing test scripts (both automated and manual) and documentation for assigned change/update projects (this involves configuration/design changes, business process changes, system modifications, or implementation of any new interfaces) to ensure requirements are met
- Being a functional leader of the PeopleSoft application. This includes proactively identifying value added features, developing a plan to implement them, and developing key training for business users of the system to adopt them.
- Championing data quality from entry, through sub modules, and to the general ledger resulting in timely and accurate financial reporting
- Directly making functional configuration updates to the PeopleSoft application as a configuration expert in support of business requirements and process improvement
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Computer Science or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
- Extensive knowledge and experience supporting Financial ERP applications or similar systems across multiple process areas.
- Proficiency using multiple PeopleSoft Financials modules or other systems of similar complexity.
- Experience documenting business requirements and translating business requirements into functional designs.
- Experience testing software.
- Knowledge of ERP development and release phases and best practices in either a systems implementation or an operations and maintenance setting.
- Expertise with conceptual foundations and best practices for software development and support as well as change control.
- Experience testing complex software with experience in automated testing tools a plus
- Experience using change control tools such as Quest Stat.
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of curiosity and creative approach to developing solutions to problems.
- A growth mindset, curiosity and ability to challenge oneself and peers in a constructive and professional manner
- Familiarity with public sector financial systems or processes

Position Description
The Office of City Finance (OCF) is responsible for the financial operations of the City of Seattle. While working closely with the City's Budget Office. OCF oversees the City's financial control functions and enterprise reporting responsibilities and supports the goals set by the Mayor and the City Council by providing financial information and expertise. The Office of City Finance champions race and social justice and works progressively to realize the City's vision of racial equity by participating in the RSJI, which requires fostering a relational culture and an openness to learn and apply new ideas and skills through an equity lens.
Business Systems, a division within OCF, supports the City's enterprise back-office systems that enable day-to-day financial operations for specific Citywide operations: Financial and City Business and Occupation License and Tax collection. Within Business Systems, we provide functional expertise across PeopleSoft Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM) submodules. This includes system support, upgrade testing, key feature adoption and support, and overall data quality and reconciliation throughout the system. The PeopleSoft 9.2 system is designed to support central financial oversight and accountability, regulatory reporting and internal controls while still meeting the needs of varied City operations. The PeopleSoft 9.2 team's vision is to enable state-of-the-art financial operations that allow City decision-makers to respond to changing economic realities. Providing timely, reliable access to accurate and complete financial data requires a common set of operational practices and a standard data structure. The City's PeopleSoft support team engages with the user community to support the following modules: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, Billing, Commitment Control, eCommerce, General Ledger, Labor Distribution, Purchasing, and Project Costing.
OCF is seeking a PeopleSoft Analyst (Information Technology Professional B). In this role, you would be responsible for both business and functional analysis for the City's enterprise PeopleSoft Financial Management system. You will work with a team of analysts and developers to ensure that PeopleSoft system issues and enhancements are addressed in a timely, organized manner. A successful candidate would have experience with multiple financial management modules. Functional support experience with at least one of the modules above (more preferred) will support success in this role.

PAYThis full-time position is classified as anInformation Technology Professional B. The full salary range for this position is $54.81- $82.28 per hour. After a pay equity and budget analysis, the salary range for this role has been identified as $54.81- $69.00 per hour.
Workplace Schedule/Environment:
Hybrid schedule with remote work flexibility requires a minimum of three days per week in the office. Individual schedules will be established in agreement between the employee and their supervisor. Work is conducted in both office and remote environments, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team atmosphere.
