      The Insights team at Inter IKEA exists to drive well-informed decision-making by providing timely and actionable insights into the many people and the world that we operate in.In the Insights team we have an unrelenting passion for making sure that everything we do at IKEA truly meets the needs and dreams of the many people, having a positive impact on the world around us and building a brand for generations to come. We do this to ensure that we strengthen the franchise offer and that the business grows.

      As Performance and Competition Insights Specialist, you will:

      • Ensure that we are following up on the business performance from an outside-in perspective, representing the eyes, ears, and hands of the consumer, to develop and implement successful strategies and plans.
      • Lead the performance management agenda, capabilities and plans for the Insights function in Inter IKEA.
      • Continuously bring in the insights into our competition and other industries to ensure that the strategies and plans that we develop will enable a unique, competitive advantage so we are the first choice for consumers.

      To be successful in this role, the following knowledge, skills and experiences would be valuable:

      • Understand the IKEA business and operating model and how data and insights affect the value chain. A good understanding of the home furnishing industry is also valuable.
      • Good understanding of the relevant tools and methodologies for competition insights and performance management.
      • University education or equivalent combination of relevant training and work experience within the areas of Business, Engineering, Social sciences, psychology or similar.
      • Extensive relevant experience in the area of data, analytics and insights, ideally 5-7 years
      • Relevant experience working with IKEA home furnishing businesses, externally in consumer goods and/or in management consulting
      • Ability to gather the right data through appropriate methodologies and insights products.
      • Ability to analyse and identify patterns across diverse sets of data to come to a holistic understanding of the competitive landscape.
      • Ability to leverage competitive intelligence expertise to develop the Inter IKEA capabilities for competition and industry insights, and to uncover deep insights to guide the business to develop.
      • Ability to provide provocative and impactful business actions and guidance to stakeholders who are working on business strategies and growth plans.
      • Ability to inspire and equip co-workers to make insight-driven decisions by facilitating the correct usage and interpretation of insights to develop our business with a strong competitive advantage.
      • Ability to ensure efficient and effective development of insights and recommendations through agile ways of working.

      Additional Information

      This role is full-time (40 hours per week) and based in Delft. This role sits in the Insights function in Inter IKEA group and reports to the Strategy Insights Manager.
