What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Submit and receive all required project permits for approval in accordance with AHJ guidelines
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the SolarAPP+ automated permitting system
- Collaborate with the Design and Project Management teams to provide status updates and support
- Track the review process with AHJs to ensure timely issuance of permits and resolve any delays
- Maintain accurate project files and accounting details related to permits
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2-5 years of permitting experience in the residential/commercial solar industry
- General construction experience such as roofing, home development, or general construction
- Proficiency with the SolarAPP+ automated permitting system and various AHJ permitting portals (Accela, eTRAKiT, EnerGov, Tyler Civic Access)
- Experience interfacing with municipal electrical/building and safety/fire plan checkers
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or accounting is a plus
