What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide efficient and accurate responses to inquiries from external customers and internal team members regarding health plan benefits
- Educate customers on drug formulary guidelines and alternatives, including prior authorization criteria
- Collaborate with internal and external resources to ensure timely completion of coverage determination requests
- Recognize and resolve customer concerns, grievances, and appeal rights
- Maintain accurate documentation of all service interactions with customers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of relevant experience in customer-facing roles, such as customer service or high-volume call center
- 1 year of relevant experience as a pharmacy technician or in pharmacy billing/claim adjudication
- Must maintain CPhT certification through continuing education
- Availability to adhere to established work schedules and guidelines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's degree
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) certification from PTCB upon hire
- State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician license upon hire
