What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Capture and edit photographs of UW-Madison buildings and employees
- Plan, frame, and shoot photos at specified locations with attention to detail
- Execute a variety of photo assignments, including architectural images and event coverage
- Organize and manage images post-shoot, ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines
- Work independently and take initiative on creative photography assignments
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Basic understanding of photography principles
- Must possess personal digital camera equipment (phone not sufficient)
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong client focus
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Deadline-oriented with a commitment to quality and efficiency
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software
- Previous photography experience in an academic or professional setting
- Strong creative vision and ability to conceptualize photo assignments
- Background in media studies or related field
