What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists
- Instruct and guide patients through functional activities
- Mentor and train staff on technical skills
- Document patient interventions and services
- Provide education and training to patients and caregivers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Two years' technical experience: Preferred
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or outpatient setting
- Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) or RQIBLS or Heartsaver CPR (CPR) certification
