What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a Physical Therapist
- Implement selected components of patient/client interventions and obtain relevant data
- Modify interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Educate and interact with Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistant students, as well as patients and their families
- Respond to patient/client and environmental emergency situations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant
- Active Florida Physical Therapist Assistant license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Must graduate from an accredited program recognized by CAPTE
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a physical therapy or rehabilitation setting (not required)
- Familiarity with various treatment areas such as skilled nursing, home health, or pediatrics
