What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist Physical Therapists in providing therapeutic services and activities to help patients maintain or improve their independence
- Deliver care to patients in their homes, fostering rewarding relationships with a diverse patient population
- Exercise independence and flexibility in your daily work routine
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
- Oregon Physical Therapy Assistant License upon hire
- Washington Physical Therapist Assistant License (if practicing within this state) upon hire
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient care
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in home health or community care settings
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques
- Bilingual skills to assist diverse patient populations
- Previous involvement in patient education and wellness initiatives
