- Assumes overall responsibility for safety performance, productivity performance, delivery performance, financial profit and loss, and production quality
- Ensures the safe operation of the facility and the safety of Dover employees
- Coordinates resources to satisfy both internal and external customers; to deliver superior products and quality service in a fast-paced environment that meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations
- Oversees Production, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Customer Service and Manufacturing Engineering; all relating to the operation of the facility
- Directs all operations departments including machining, assembly, logistics, quality, process improvement, and materials; directs operating personnel in optimization of plant facilities and assigns maintenance priorities
- Supports the implementation and training of continuous improvement principles within the shop environment. Implements best practices and improvements that have been identified by Dover’s employees and management
- Champions process improvement and lean manufacturing activities; oversees the implementation of best practices across manufacturing operations.
- Supports managers and supervisors in the accomplishment of daily/weekly activities.
- Promotes the utilization of statistical and process visual measurements to manage the operation and deliver customer satisfaction and world class quality
- Complies with all Federal, State, and Local labor laws, environmental regulations, OSHA compliance and City ordinances
- Works with the VP of Operations to make operational adjustments as necessary by reviewing the P&L Statements, Sales Reports, and daily reports to insure continued growth in productivity/ efficiency
- Assists the VP of Operations in developing & executing an accurate manning, operating expense, and capital expenditure budgets
- Develops capital equipment requirements and justifications
- Directs, coaches, and develops managers; sets goals in training and development, performance, and career planning by leveraging strong problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities
- Works effectively in a matrix organizational structure
- Champions performance management and training initiatives
- Maintains productive relationships with external customers including; marketing/commercial group, contractors, engineering, vendors, government agencies, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure complete compliance with Lean initiatives using our Dover Operational Excellence Model (OPEX).

- Six or more years of relevant experience required
- Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred
- Experience with ISO or TS quality standards
- Prior ownership of plant P&L is strongly preferred
- Experience in a shelter business preferred

Position Summary
The Plant manager is responsible to provide leadership to insure a safe and collaborative work environment, driving safety compliance, quality system adherance, productivity, and meeting customer requirements. The Plant manager is also responsible to continuously improve processes through CI activities, lean initiatives, employee involvement, and communication. The Operations Manager must understand and monitor the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and make necessary adjustments for success. The Operations Manager will accomplish these things by performing the following duties:

Education
• Four-year college or university degree in Business or related field or equivalent education and/or experience required
• Master’s degree in business or related field preferred
• Must read, write, and speak fluent Spanish and English
