Job Description

- Direct daily plant activities of 700+ team member facility, including supervision of salaried staff.
- Plan and manage all financial aspects of the facility (Annual Operating Plan, capital, etc.)
- Plan and manage all quality, environmental health and safety compliance and regulator aspects
- Champion of plant continuous improvement activities (BOS, Lean, TVM, Kaizen)
- Identify and track key measures to monitor facility/function effectiveness, and set and monitor staff goals and objectives.
- Drive development of facilities processes and future capabilities
- Ensure all people and customer requirements are maintained to the highest standard.
- Interface regularly with customers, engineers, sales teams to drive requirements
- Champion development of team members, including succession planning
- Employee must perform his/her job within acceptable safety, environmental, quality, productivity and performance standards as outlined in plant policies, handbooks and applicable work instructions.
- 7-10 years of related automotive business and managerial experience required.
- Supervisory experience of a facility with 500+ team members, including leading cross-functional teams.
- Proven capability and experience in leading turnarounds and crises management
- Experience in various levels of management positions with proven proficiency and effectiveness.
- Working knowledge of automotive industry and related manufacturing systems.
- Proven safety track record with demonstrated improvements in plant safety culture.
- Ability to engage a diverse workforce.
- Demonstrated use of Lean Principles to solve problems.
- Ability to provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
- Knowledge of ISO and TS Quality Management Systems.
- Strong business acumen specifically around capital purchases, project management, and annual operating budget planning.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, etc.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing strong customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System Strongly Preferred.
- Strategic leadership with ability to predict and maintain results.

We are looking for a Plant Manager. The Plant Manager is responsible for directing the business, financial, technical, manufacturing and resource functions of one of our largest facilities in North America. The individual will guide facility in its support of internal and external customer requirements. The Plant Manager will also direct continuous improvement activities (Lean, Kaizen, BOS, TVM, etc.) and coordinate the development of the facilities people, processes and capabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field required.
