Job Description

- Analyze Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly performance data (cost, OEE, quality, safety, service, and human relations) and work with the Plant Leadership Team to optimize plant performance.
- Interact with on site and Corp C. I. Team to identify and implement process improvements.
- Spend time in the plant reviewing the operation, speaking with associates, answering questions, soliciting for improvement ideas, reinforcing policy and procedures, etc.
- Promote and improve associate involvement in finding systematic solutions to increase overall plant efficiency.
- Create a culture of Reward and Accountability in all areas of the operation.
- Train and coach department heads and supervisors in problem solving, priority setting, goal setting, Confrontation/Communication skills, Labor Relations, etc.
- Instill and reinforce a sense of urgency in the team to actively identify and resolve problems that impair efficient daily operations.
- Direct and maintain the MS 168 tier management system assuring communication, productivity, quality, and continuous improvement processes are robust and are producing results.
- Optimize safety performance, including daily tours through the plant, review of all incident reports, conducting safety meetings, one to one discussion with associates, review of safety infractions/discipline, and housekeeping tours.
- Complete required local, state, federal and corporate requirements.
- Maintain PSM procedures and compliance.
- Assure and support the quality management system provides product, process and systems quality improvement that results in reduced costs and customer satisfaction.
- Forecasting production & headcount.
- Initiate, plan and oversee capital projects, wage proposals, etc. Develop, present, and administer business plans and operating budgets.
- Management representative concerning union business and administration.
- Attend and initiate communication and informational meetings as required.
- ·Bachelor’s or Masters's degree in Manufacturing or Engineering.
- 10 years + of experience managing a plant.
- Technical, familiarity with batch processing and filling operations and or overall production manufacturing
- Understands and can participate in financial planning activities, including budget development, cost management and capital investment planning.
- Very strong verbal communication skills: ability to effectively communicate one-on-one and present to large groups.
- Strong written communication skills: ability to effectively communicate with customers by email, as well as develop written reports and presentations.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, SAP experience is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
- Experienced in Project Management and statistics.
- Familiarity with DAP products a plus
