- Relevant tertiary qualifications at graduate level or above in: population health, health promotion, public health, or other relevant areas.
- Project management skills including demonstrated ability to plan, implement, evaluate and disseminate a population health project report on the outcomes of a project.
- Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain partnerships with community, government and business organisations and agencies, and facilitate collaborative action.
- High level written and oral communication skills; computer skills and negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse, understand and work with, and within, a range of systems, sectors and agencies to implement change.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a cross-cultural context, particularly with members of the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community and Culturally & Linguistically Diverse communities.

Remuneration: $30.44 - $50.70 per hour + 11% superannuation

What you'll be doing
The purpose of this positions is to improve the health and wellbeing of people who live in Western Sydney by contribute to a program of work in line with Western Sydney Local Health District and the Ministry of Health’s goals, principles, strategies and service agreement deliverables.The Health Promotion Officers will work primarily with the Healthy Ageing portfolio and will work with the team to deliver all stages of program planning, implementation, evaluation, reporting and sustainability of programs promoting healthy eating and active living in the older population.
Positions may be extended beyond June 2025 if program funding is renewed.
