What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct portfolio-level analytics and performance reporting, ensuring compliance and surveillance testing
- Lead efforts to assess and implement improvements in credit and investment analytical tools
- Provide support to the portfolio management team including trade tracking, cash flow monitoring, and new-issue deal sourcing
- Improve operational efficiencies to enable portfolio optimization, data integrity, and reporting accuracy
- Perform ad-hoc analyses in response to market events and special projects
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Mathematics or related field
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in a principal investment or capital markets business
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills applied in an investment environment, with expertise in U.S. capital markets
- Familiarity with fixed-income investments such as corporate bonds and structured securities
- Acute attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with Bloomberg and major fixed-income analytics software programs (FactSet, Aladdin, Bond Edge, etc.)
- Proficiency in FactSet and performance analysis
- Progress toward or interest in obtaining CFA certification
